In Hawaii, Suckas! - Day 10
It's our last day, and it's another suck day. =o( Had to do homework since I'd be on the road driving back to SA when it's suppose to be turned in. I know Anthony really wanted to hit the beach again but school duty called. Sometimes, school just sucks. ::sigh::

In Hawaii, Suckas! - Day 9
::da, dah.....da, dah,....da, dah..da, dah....da dah dah dah dah dah...::
(my poor attempt to recreate the Jaws theme song)

Awesome morning. Anthony, myself and my sister swam in a cage with sharks all around. Very very very neato! Sharks everywhere!!

Haleiwa is a popular North Shore town where my sister and I enjoyed the famous Matsumoto snow cones with beans and ice cream inside. yum yum yum!!! We also burned a whole in our bank accounts but hey, isn't that what vacations are for!

Kahuku is popular for it's shrimp trucks along the side of the road. Oh so good!!

We then headed over to the beaches at North Shore to snorkel off the shrimp.

It was a good day.

In Hawaii, Suckas! - Day 8
Today sucked. Had to spend the day working on a proposal for one of my classes. The internet didn't work for most of the day so I couldn't research literature/ journal articles. I was barely able to email in my incomplete assignment. ::sigh:: suck, suck, suck.

In Hawaii, Suckas! - Day 7
This was our drive around the entire island day. Holy crap, 5 hours in a car. I was ready for a long nap and recoup time after this self tour.

Sarah, my sis, joined up on our island tour. She got a kick out of us referring to the map.

There are a lot of aspects of Hawaii that reminds us of Japan (people, food, etc). This temple highlights one of those mirrored qualities from Japan. Very picturesque.

We heard that Zippy's is a local island favorite. Much like Jim's in the U.S. So we tried it. Uhhhh.....all I'll say is we should have eaten at Jack-in-the-Box instead.

In Hawaii, Suckas! - Day 6
So, today was in part a bit of a solemn morning/ afternoon. We went to visit the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. I can't help but feel humbled and quite honestly, I don't usually like going to those types of landmarks as I just so filled with emotion that I have to bite my lips and cheeks to keep from crying. (yes, I'm a sap....but how can you not cry when you visit a memorial for our death service members).

There were letters from sailors prior to the attack and also telegram notices of certain sailor's death. Man, I really had to fight back the tears.

On a lighter note, Anthony and I attended a luau at Paradise Cove. We participated in pre-dinner events and surprisingly enough the dinner buffet was great. We were pleasantly surprised. Then some evening entertainment at which my camera died!! Bah!
