Sea World: Here's to the Heroes
"Anheuser-Busch is honored to salute the men and women of our armed forces and their families. Throughout 2006, members of the military and as many as three direct dependents may enter any one of Anheuser-Busch's SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Sesame Place parks with a single-day complimentary admission."

Anthony and I made good use of our free pass at Sea World yesterday.

My favorite part: Brewmaster's Club
Anthony and I got to sample set of Anheuser-Busch alcohol product while nibbling on some chocolate, cheese, crackers and fruit.
There use to be a Beer School but it has been replaced with the Brewmaster's Club. It's a bit more intimate as your with a smaller crowd and it's overall more enjoyable.

Thanks Anheuser-Busch for your support.

San Diego Acoustic Music
So after there were several concerts that Anthony wanted to see but were sold out or we were out of town, he finally got to attend a music event without disappointment this past weekend.

Event: San Diego Acoustic Music
Venue:
Claire de Lune

It was a quaint setting in a large but homey coffee house while local artists displayed thier musical talents one right after another. Anthony and I gained some new artist favorites.

Artists We Recommend

Saba
Think Sarah McLaughlin meets a female version of Jude.
She has a very ethereal voice.
Her music slows time and entrances you to a surreal daze.
The music is not upity but a soundtrack for contemplation and reflection.

Sven-Erik Seaholm
I'm not sure how to describe this artist.
Some folk and he definitely likes playing with his songs and lyrics.
It was just different.

There was plenty of talent but these two stood out the most.

It was a great night as we sat back, drank some aromatic hot tea, and just listened for the night.

Kudos to Anthony for taking me.

Labor Day Weekend
We had a partially lazy weekend but slightly different experience for Anthony and me.

Friday:

It was a dinner and movie night. We saw Crank . I have to say that I'm a fan of Jason Statham (loved Snatch!!). This was another action pack heart racing on-the-go movie. Not the best movie in the world but I'm all about the wise crack dialogue with the accent infused with artificial adrenaline.

Saturday:
Lazy! Oh, but I did buy these great cream/white colored heels for Jen's weddding next weekend from Bandolino so go with this great bridesmaid's dress. We were suppose to go shopping for slacks for Anthony, but went away with a pair of shoes for me! Sorry, Baby.

Sunday:
Well, I had my first duty at the hospital today (It's a Navy thing. Just ask if you don't know). Yeah, it sucked I had to reside on grounds for 24 hrs but at least nothing major happened. It was a relatively quiet day and night. Thankfully!!!

On the other hand, Anthony took advantage of some free Nascar tickets at the California Speedway in Fontana. He got to enjoy the ear numbing rush of watching stock cars race endlessly on an oval track as the sun set in the desert horizon.

Monday:
Epitome of slothfulness. (i.e. extremely lazy)
