"I'm just crackers about cheese!"

I've fallen into cartoon heaven all over again. Wallace and Gromit is FANTABULOUS! (yes, it's not a real word....but who cares!) Their production has been a claymation stepping stone and it's pure genius. Over the past few days, I've watch Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit at least 5 times. Those bunnies are absolutely the best! The first 10 mins are my favorite. The first time I watched Wallace and Gromit was in physics class in high school. Occasionally, our physics teacher (I vaguely remember we would call him Gonzo......::tsk tsk:: students those days) would take a break from teaching and he'd put on Wallace and Gromit. After my first viewing, I'd dream of any upcoming day where he'd just put aside such instructional daily tedium and treat our eyes with the bald cheese addicted Brit and the prodigy dog. Until recently, these cherished characters have drifted into the background as my life has zipped by but now, I've paused to once again enjoy my portion of cartoon heaven that is Wallace and Gromit.


So far, their movie library consists of:

A Grand Day Out
The Wrong Trousers
A Close Shave
The Curse of the Were-Rabbit


These will forever be part of the video/ dvd/ any other future media collection to enjoy (especially with my future kids).

Year of the Pig
The Bellagio had a great display commemorating the Chinese New Year and this year's zodiac symbol, The Pig.



There were plenty of beautiful orchids (my favorite flowers) everywhere. It reminded me of the time I tried to smuggle orchid bulbs from Costa Rica for my mom. Good times!

One too many times in Vegas
Vegas is not my city. I'm just not into crowds. I like to enjoy a great glass of wine in a low key lounge or bar with a comfortable setting. Instead I get an overcrowded Strip surrounded by attitude and behavior that perpetuate stereotypes and with a group collective IQ the same as my age. I would not be sorry if I never went back to that city. At least Anthony enjoyed himself. Here's one for the team.

LAS VEGAS!!! (again)
Anthony is getting itchy feet to head over to Vegas again. Can't say it's my type of town (because it isn't) but I'll enjoy the short vacation nonetheless. Of course we're going during the NBA All Stars event. Should be interesting (and crowded). Already planning on going to a couple of parties. Anthony and I will be meeting up with his parents, cousin + girlfriend, and a couple of his buddies from San Antonio. It's be nice for him to sort of catch up with everybody. I'm just glad I'm off the following Monday (President's Day) because I'll be exhausted! At least we're flying this time. I shudder at the memories of the last drive up there.

Time for a change
So if you ever remember my previous blogger, you should notice I made a slight design/ template change. It needed some freshness in background. In all the changing, I've had to make adaptions to previous posts so if pictures are off/ not proportionate or don't show (like YouTube or Flickr slideshows), tough! I'm tired of making changes so you'll just have to deal! :o)
