Viva Las Vegas....well mostly.
Ok, so Anthony got to go back to Vegas and I finally went for the first time.
Let me say this. Even before we got there, the trip was unbearable. It did eventually get better but I was about ready to scream within the first 1 hr of the trip. So here a general breakdown of the trip:
ETA from San Diego to Las Vegas: 3.5-4 hrs
Hour 1: Stop and go traffic. Ok, so everyone is going home and heading out on a Fri afternoon.
Hour 2: Stop and go traffic. Ok, still rush hourish.
Hour 3: Hmmmmm....I wonder if EVERYONE FROM SOCAL (Southern CA) is going to Las Vegas?
Hour 4: Are we even half-way there and...EVERYONE IN SOCAL ARE GOING TO VEGAS!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!
Hour 6: Stop and go traffic. I'm never never never never never driving to Vegas again.
Hour 7: I see the Vegas lights!!!
The return trip was marginally less horrendous.
So the time in Las Vegas:
It was flashy, loud and crowded.
Not unexpected.
Not my type of place but I enjoyed myself.
My favorite part was the show Anthony did treat me to one night:
Cirque Du Soleil: Ka
Absolutely fabulous and intricate mobile stage setup and wonder acrobatics.
